Todd Kleismit

Executive Director, Ohio Commission for the U.S. Semiquincentennial

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Todd has earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Ohio University. He is an Army veteran of Operation Desert Storm and served as an Army journalist from 1988-1992. Todd has served on the boards of Leadership Ohio and the Ohioana Library. Todd is the recipient of the Leadership Ohio “Leader Among Leaders” award from his 2013 class. The Leadership Ohio board of trustees later established the Kleismit Award for Extraordinary Leadership at the conclusion of his time as board president. Todd was recognized in 2024 by the Hocking Valley Chapter of the Sons of the America Revolution with the Bronze Good Citizenship Medal for his leadership of the America 250-Ohio Commission. Todd and his wife, Lisa, live in Columbus with their daughter, Grace.
