Mills Park Hotel

LinktoEvent[0,642]

Join OHLA Staff and Greater Dayton members for education and networking over drinks and hors d'oeuvres at the Dayton Lodging Council Meeting and GM Reception at the Mills Park Hotel in Yellow Springs!

The Fall event is an opportunity to learn important new information and local developments; connect with old friends and make new ones at our early reception; and include your voice in important discussions.  Topics will include:

- Ohio’s School Start Date
Some school districts across the state started earlier than ever, as the start date creeps into early August on its way to July.  Coalitions of parents, family groups and others are starting to ask Ohio to look at later start dates, and legislation has been introduced in the Ohio General Assembly.  Learn about the proposals and the possibilities for action.

- Supporting Ohio’s Unique Lodging Sector

OHLA has made support for independent properties a pillar of our efforts, with the creation of Unique Lodging of Ohio (ULO).  This council includes hoteliers from a range of independent properties from individual room B&Bs, to properties like our host the Mills Park Hotel, to larger hotels. Find out how ULO works with our travel economy and CVB partners to help make Ohio an even greater destination of choice for all types of visitors.

- OHLA Update

From changes to per diem rates, to Airbnb, to illegal lodging taxes and more, OHLA is working on behalf of hoteliers and the travel economy every day.  Get a brief update on our new activities underway, and our plans to address important issues just over the horizon.

Special social and networking event!  After our business meeting, stay a while with your friends and colleagues as our host property provides a fun setting for our Annual Reception. Take a tour of this wonderful location.  Great food and refreshments will be provided complements of our event sponsors.
